Default Traders: fair advertisement

Following on from here: https://passionford.com/forum/genera...r-one-etc.html and here: https://passionford.com/forum/genera...es-thread.html

As it seems to have been bluntly closed even though apparently the posts have been reported??

On a slightly different note...

If MSD get advertisement through PassionFord facebook groups, does this mean other traders on here can too??

http://www.facebook.com/#!/passionford

(Direct link to post: http://www.facebook.com/#!/passionford/posts/111106295620287 )

Bit unfair otherwise IMO<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

So can all traders on here put a link to their websites, or even just contact details, which I then trust would be posted on the facebook group, maybe one per day, so the same level of exposure is gained?

Paul North Yorks
Enhanced Performance etc etc

It was closed as nobody wants to say what they are talking about AND its in the wrong forum anyway, so why continue?.

You have lost me there mate... especially as I answered you on your first post about it.

If you are a member of the FB group you can just post what you like on it if your a paying trader, its as simple as that!

It was posted in GD Stu as thats the only section that gets any answers

why have i reported posts over and over again and nothing is done and no answer given to me ?

why have a report post system if you arnt even given an answer if the mods feel the post you report are within the rules etc ?

Seems you post in GD and everone seems to have an opinion and is suddenly wanting to sort issues

Paul, you make thsi sound like a massive conspiracy so I have just personally and carefully trawled page after page of reported posts and you have reported only THREE topics in the last MONTH! And ALL Three have been dealt with!

Are you perhaps expecting some reply from someone to tell you it has been done or something and thats why you think it isnt?

Ah, maybe you are!
We dont usually reply as theer are simply too many to reply to.

I have reported a post in the past, but have no idea if it was dealt with or not! maybe some form of acknowledgment would go along way?

This isnt a schoolyard!! its a fee paying website and thus there are rules that need to be enforced.

I got jumped on very quickly as a so called "trader", yet plenty of others have advertised way more bits than me and are know as a trader.

One mod in particular seems to be right on the case for some, and ignores others, go figure

I didn't bother renewing my gold membership, after several years, because of the mods attitude and because neither of the 2 admins of the site bothered to reply to my pm on the subject.

if you know someone is a traderthen report the issue ... we do not care who reports stuff ..
if you consider yourself a grass for doing that sort of thing then don't complain if you dont like the way people slip into obscurity and have fun selling stuff then the paying traders stop .. the site looses revenue and thats not gonna be good is it ...

all reports are dealt in confidence by me 110% i will not offer any clues to who reported it or in somecases the actual thread "if" it makes it obvious who reported it..

we don't know everything about who trades who runs thier own business etc but with somedetective work from others who know we can usually find evidence elsewhere other than passionford to offer the person as proof we know what theyaredoing ..
the users on here are a great resource and should not feel like they are grassing someone up or anything like that ...
the report system does work .. we do sometimes confer as to the outcome as not all are open and shut cases ..
i do sometimes let the reporter know it has been actioned .. but if its a busy time then i don't .. sorry but ....

if something is reported then sometimes its quite obvious that posts or spammers have been dealt with ..

But they were his own cars.

And stu has now made it quite clear that you can facebook whatever you like on the pf facebook page if you have paid your traders fees here

What I want to know is this:

Years and years ago it was the case where you could have in your sig a link to a trader who had not taken out trader status on pf, if think chip asked the question, so in the current situation as it is now that pf is an ib owned site, is this still acceptable?

So for example if a member was running a business making shoes could I then put a link in my sig to their site, would it get removed and would I get into trouble?

The whole trader issue is a very sad state of affairs !
Take a good look at this image...

The words "passion" and "enthusiast" have no place on this site anymore as its all about making money and ego boosting for a few individuals.

Still, given the comercial state of this site, it isnt a democracy and the rules are there to be applied as the staff see fit.

Perhaps IB should start paying the staff for their hard work and then more of them would actually use the site and do their job as many do seem absent these days.
(Or perhaps get some new ones who actually participate ?)

This could then spread the load of applying rules so that a more consistent application of rules could be seen by the users.

No disresepct to anyone....Just my 2p worth !

P.S. ... I forgot to add the word "Ford"..lol
