From a technical perspective - until tag numpty came along it was and excellnt thread

 

That guy really was on a mission, he seemed to care as much about the conspiracy of tags as I do about stuff like accurate info about engine internals, I genuinely believe he would have gone on for 100 pages if left to it

I know im a bit on the throough side about getting the correct technical info into threads so Im not looking down on him for his commitment to his cause, but it really did just seem like not a very interesting cause in the first place.
He literally joined the forum just to complain about the tag conspiracy too, he wasnt even registered until then.

not been easier to remove his posts rather than the entire thread or was somebody worried about how they were been portrayed? Reckon on somebody taking their bat and ball home personally. Not bothered mind, how many views had that thread had 10000+ was it? clearly people werent intrested

 

If you singled out the tag moron by removing all his posts only can you imagine how much more he would then shoot his mouth off everywhere about "the powers that be silencing my quest for the truth" etc

I thought it was amazing, a couple of very skilled mappers and Simon going at it and asking questions that went straight over my head but my quest to understand it got mereading around more!

That is what his forum should be about - technical knowledge and skill and love for our Fords (Or BMW's in 90% of cases )

 

So how do we find out why it was removed?bit lame if it's just cos of the tags issue,which ,albeit went off on a tangent but did surprise a few people to find out they weren't wholly anonymous.

You could always start a thread in the policies and problems room and ask the question?

I wouldnt on principle TBH if I was a mod, on the basis that there is a specific room for such queries and if they start replying to threads everywhere else as well then people will expect queries from anywhere to be answered, then will get upset if they get missed in a busy room and so dont get answered, when if they were just in the one place it would keep things a lot simpler for both the users and the mods.

you could always click report post on this thread to bring it to their attention and ask them to move it to the correct room where its more likely to get a response?

i removed it by thread starters request due to every other post was off topic in so many ways then the arguing baiting ect IF the trhread was edited and reinstated then there would just be 500 posts of where did my reply go
