Can a moderator please get in touch. I have paid £80 for a Fiesta ST spolier and the guy has ripped me off. He uses his girl friends paypal account and i have been waiting 5 weeks now. He starts by making excuses about sending it to the wrong address and then keeps making delivery promises that dont happen. He now will not answer pms / email / paypal requests for money to be returned. He logs on but does not reply. Please help

I have spoken to him and he has agreed to give me my money back unfortunatley he logs on and wont reply to my pms. He has said he would ask his girlfriend to send the money but nothing. Can you please pm him asking for my money if you dont mind.

Mark still nothing has arrived was promised for today at the latest. Still no reply about the free item no tracking information supplied its now 6 weeks.

whats a permenant ban going to do other than not help the guy getting his money, not a dig at you but this happened with me, paid £130 for a xbox nothing, it was mentioned in GD that a few others had also bought it and between the PF community a adress and phone number was sorted, i hope someone can help the guy before he gets banned otherwise may aswell say goodbye to the money

 

we dont have his address or phone number.

All i can do is give the buyer the email address he registered with and then ban him so hopefully noone else gets conned.

i know mate dont take it as a dig at you just giving an example of what happened,

the guy still comes on here ? so as a start take his gold member status so he cannot sell to any others, then pm him giving him x amount of time to come to a conclusion and if he is still un willing then obviously he will have to be banned as there is nothing that can be done and the guy buying will have to take that one on the chin i guess

just a way of sorting things as to give the guy a chance to refund the money or say his bit

shame we have people like this on the forum spoiling it for enthusiasts for what this site is all about

 

I have sent him a few PM's asking him to sort it out and giving him a time frame.

I hate people who con others so will quite happily issue those who do with a life ban.

Unfortunately even as Mods we are nearly entirely powerless to help, the introduction of itrader has helped a bit but in the main its all done on trust!!

unfortunately you are always going to get a small proportion of weasels out there who take the piss and other peoples money.


I have been conned myself a couple of times...once on here!!! so i know from experience just how infuriating it is. I managed claim back on Visa for one (as i used my card via Paypal) and had to swallow the loss on the other

Really feel for you mate, would it not be a good idea for this site to do something similar to the RSOC forum and make it mandatory for every for sale post to include an email address and or phone number? I know its not much but just a thought.
