Default post removed ???

just been told my post in the for sale forum has been removed as its not my car !!

i think your being very petty about this ... yes the car is a friends but its been sat in my garage for 2yrs and im now being paid to break it, he doesnt use the internet, so whats the problem ?? he has paid me the £10 for the gold membership (which i paid to passionford today) so all thats wrong is he isnt posting it !!! ive not been on this site for a long time and wouldnt be involved in rs's anymore if i wasnt helping a friend out.

if your not going to put my post back up, please could you refund the £10 as now have no more reason to use the site and ill ebay the lot. since there are a lot of parts on this car that your users would of been interested in, i thought it would be the ideal place to sell them. im sorry my friend doesnt use the internet ! but its only your users that miss out

No.

The new rules state no selling on behalf of non members and non goldmembers.

we sometimes relax this for close family members and spouses but that is at the mods discretion.

no where does it say that in the terms and conditions before paying the cash ....

it states in the forum

"Please be aware that Only Contributors (Gold PF members) can advertise their parts in our parts for sale sections.
NO POSTING FOR NON GOLD MEMBERS ALLOWED "
and it doesnt say anything about that on the terms and conditions of Gold Membership like you stated in your pm ??

i understand that it shouldnt be aloud for gold members to sell for non gold members, but come on this is petty, my friend doesnt use the internet and wouldnt even know what it is he was listing if he did. id have to set him up a user then write it all out on paper, so he could then use my pc and rewrite it all out again on here (does this not sound stupid to you ?)

i agreed to the terms and conditions set by passionford before paying my money and im afraid it didnt say anything about this, ive paid my membership today to sell these parts what difference does it make what car it came from ?

come on, does it really need to be this serious ??

the car has been sat in my garage for over 2yrs so i suggested id break it for him... like i said ill post up a pic tomoz of the new keepers suppliment in my name, petty i know, but then leagally it will be mine, and i wont be breaking any rules, not that i think i have anyway ...

Private individuals registered as gold members may offer suitable items for sale in the correct parts for sale forums.

Sales topics must be in the most suitable allocated sales forum and will not be tolerated in any other part of the forum. We also ask that members selling many items at once try to do so in one topic as opposed to listing each item separately, this aids the smooth running of the busy commercial sections.

A lot of people try to get round the rule above by posting a topic called "What’s it worth?" under the pretence that they are just wondering how much to sell it for. Due to the fact that such a member would receive many private messages about such an item for sale, we only allow this to happen in the Items for sale forums, which are of course plus members only areas. This rule only applies if the user does in fact have one of these items that they may want to sell.

Members either known to be, or considered by the web team to be commercial users must be registered as official PassionFord Traders and have paid the current fee to be able to enter any sale advertisements whatsoever on the forum or be registered with a business name. Registration is also required in order to place or reply to wanted adverts.

All topics must give a clear description of the goods and a price. Listing items with no price is not good enough. If you are not sure of a price, visit eBay to get an idea.

It is not PassionFord's responsibility to check that goods are fit for purpose, accurately described and/or comply with UK road and traffic laws. That is for you as the buyer to ascertain for yourself and we must ask you to think very carefully before buying from a member with very few posts as they may have signed up just to sell an item meaning nobody on the forum will know them.

Nothing that you post for sale must be illegal for use in the country occupied by the buyer or seller. Vehicles, or items intended for use on vehicles must be fully legal for use on the road and must adhere to all relevant laws unless its lack of legality is SPECIFICALLY stated in the advertisement in good clear text of normal or larger font size. (I.E: For off road use only.)

Selling items "On behalf of" anybody whom is not a member is not allowed. If a person wishes to use PassionFord to sell an item, it will take him just 2 minutes to register their own account. This stops a multitude of problems when the item is not as described and the topic poster is held accountable.

This is from the rules that we all read and abide to that are available here

Im afraid, intentionally or otherwise, you have missed out the notes at the bottom that refer to the asterix next to the for sale line...

Regardless though, have your pal sign up and I will personally transfer the gold membership he paid for over to his account. Job Done.
