What is wrong with this site as ALL other forums I go on maybe have the odd off day but 9-10 times they are flying.

Slow servers?

Do they need upgraded? I know nothing about IT stuff.

Don't usually comment on these posts about forum performance due to how much it does cost and time pet etc take to run it, but it is VERy slow for me here tonight

I find it hard to complain as I spend so much time on here and really enjoy the site BUT it is really hit and miss with the speeds sometimes.

Im glad you enjoy it pal, and we enjoy having you here.
Lets be thankfull its only problematic an hour or two late at night, leaving you all another 22 hours per day of free forum to enjoy.

The other plan is still in action, but its proving very time consuming to put into place sadly. And time, is something pet and i are a little short of at the moment. Pet especially.

I couldn't even get on till now and James in Cornwall couldn't either so its hardly a regional thing as were 250mile apart - my Gold membership runs out in a couple of week, i reckon i should get an extra months grace for the downtime etc over the last year Not that i get great benefit from Gold membership, its just the principal of it for me

In total there are 852 users online :: 30 Registered, 9 Hidden and 813 Guests....... No bloody way!

Is the slowness anyway connected to these webcrawlers [Guests]????

The reason for so many guests...

Yahoo's search engine now uses multiple connections instead of a single connection when scanning the site, classified as guests. Result - hundreds of extra guests, who aren't actually real people.
