i tried to persuade him not to go, but he said he was getting treated unfairly, with Phil's ban shortened and Chip's ban lengthened so they were more equal. If that is true, then that is shit

 

i think chip should have just learned to live with out phil in his life.. shame to loose a valued member of this comunity but ... it was his decision

I tried leaving for 2 weeks and no one noticed so I came back

I too have been on the receiving end of Phils paranoia but thats in the past
now but at the time it wasnt a nice place to be especially when others
ganged up and made the situation worse.

I dont hold any grudges against Phil and even have to say, I quite like him now.

I have read all the recent threads and I must say, I do think Chip has been
treated a bit harshly but I am not a moderator or an administrator and I
suppose its up to them to decide how this place works and I am only 1 voice
out of 25000 odd people.

 

Since none of you actually know what Phil and Chip both agreed to with me personally, you dont have any basis to say the decision is shit. Agreed?

Also, since you dont know that they agreed that one more argument and they would BOTH get a 1 week ban, and they BOTH told me they are happy with that, so again, suddenly a one week ban isnt so shit is it?

Cant we ever run this forum without ill informed people constantly trying to second guess and comment on our decisions? Its getting tiring to be honest.

The Bottom line:
26000 other people are NOT contstanly bickering or banned. Why is it the rules are fine for those 26000 but not chip and Phil? Why arent 26000 people moaning they want to be allowed to argue and bicker?

Rich, i am not getting into it here but suffice to say that, given teh fact i actually laid out, determined, and ultimately wrote teh rules in teh first place, i would say that i was likely in teh best position of all to say whether or not they were compromised by a members actions wouldnt you say? Good Lord, even Phil agrees he deserved banning and isnt arguing this time.

English law states that ignorance of the law cannot be used as a defense. PassionFord rules follow the same thinking as far as i am concerned.

Silliest thing of all is that people will still be arguing about it long after the ban ends.
