mk7 transit abs problems
I have a high mileage (well maintained) MK7 2.2tdci 9 seat minibus which is my livelyhood.
a few weeks ago, my traction control light came on followed by the ABS and handbrake unit flashing randomly. I parked it up took it to ford on monday, no lights on and Ford could not fault it no codes stored etc. run ok for 9 days 1000 miles when it did the same during the day so i drove to ford with lights on the plugged it and found out, 'it had lost contact with ABS module'. Ford then checked the wiring loom connectors etc but found no fault however all lights had gone off. took it home 30miles later the lights return.
I ordered a replacement abs module from scrapyard which came wrong (wasted a few days) so i sent my unit to ECU.com who tested it and guess what :- they found no fault unit operating perfectly. my unit was refitted and ford have checked the wiring and again and say it has to be my ABS module at around £1000.
so to summarise
Ford say its my ABS module
ECU.com say its not.
what do i do where do i go im desperate. I am already a £750 in earnings spent over £200 on diagnostics and i still am none the wiser.
please help from a desperate man.
thankyou[/quote]
