Escort Tyre rub and Fitting Alloys - Safety
Hi everybody,
I'm a Newbie, I have a couple of Questions ~ Would really appreciate some help
I have a 2000 (X) escort 55 Van (Ex GPO)
Alloys
I would like to fit alloys (14" 5 spoke off a 97 (P) escort car, When i put the wheels on the van there isn't much stud max 9mm (will check exact measurements tomorrow) I have aquired alloy wheel nuts ~ Should this be a simple swap?? if not any tips would be gratly appreciated?
Tyre rub
I own a cleaning company and have carried a lot of weight in the back for quite some time, I fully intend to remove the water tanks and washer out before fitting the alloys to relieve the stress, but the tyres wear quickly from the inside and I have put this down to the excess weight but as i'm fitting alloys I would like to be sure that there is noting serious that I am missing??
Thanks in advance and I have looked for posts on these subjects and can't find any
