Guys has anyone got any old Bonus seats at all knocking around? I need the tartan style material off of them, so if anyone could cut the material off there old seat for me id really appreciate it

if i decide to rip the interior out of mine to fit the cage, it will be available, but will need cleaning lol

 

As much as possible mate to be honest. I also need some good doorcards as my passenger one has cuts and has turned a manky brown colour. PM me with what you can do for me mate

 

By the way, the material is needed becuase im retrimming the cetnre sections of some RST Recaros in Bonus material. Its all in the detail

Go for it mate, but i'd check how much it's going to cost you to insure if you inted to make it a sleeper with a zetec or CVH turbo, first.
As a first car id' think it would probably be a little crippling!

Not as a first car at 17. Maybe at 18, but at 17 expect to pay over Ł1000 at least (I've checked).

At 17, do what I'm gonna do, get the tattiest fiesta i can find, rag it for a year and chop it in for something decent

 

Expect to pay over a grand on most first cars at 17 mate, why not get a Bonus, trundle around in it for a year and save up over the year to turbo and insure it. Atleast that way you'd get used to the handling before any serious power and you could get it looking the way you want.

 

agreed that way you will get your no claims on the car,and the money you save you can collect the parts, much simpler that way

 

I've found out you can get insuance for less than Ł1000 on alot of cars if you get a pass plus

But a mk4 escort is category 7 insuance, whereas an old battered fiesta is like 2 or 3.

Though if you can insure a mk4 (or being cheeky, a mk3) for less than a grand, let us know

i reckon a Bonus is an ideal first car for a Ford nut mate, mine was and even though i went through a couple of bad times with it, i loved that car and wish i had it back!! So much you can do to them, and on a budget. All you need in my opinion is RST wheels, 60mm springs and it looks ace straightaway

My Bonus got stolen the other weekend evaded 2 Police cars and was eventually caught. It was returned to me largely undamaged (bent door frame N/S and steering lock smashed and gearbox mountings now split). However as it needed welding for the test it is probably going on the long last journey to be recycled. The good news if any is I thought it had run out of petrol coz I know there was non in it, Got a gallon today and only half of it went in the tank before the thank was full......result........

Hi guys, just new to this so bear with me, just purchased a 1300 mk4 (g210 orm), will put up some pics as soon as i find uot how to, thinkin about a engine swap as the hcs isnt up to much, 2.0 zetec or cvh turbo maybe depending on the funds
