Times ticking and just over a week to go also I was really glad to see that Paul swift is back again
Like Father, Like Son!
Paul Swift has been entertaining us at Ford Fair for the past two years with his amazing stunt displays but this year we have something very special. For the first time ever, Paul is going head to head with the man who introduced him to stunt driving 25 years ago, his Dad – precision driving legend – Russ Swift! Not only are they putting their reputations on the line, they’re performing in a pair of brand new Focus ST’s so the pressure is on!
The father and son duo will be pulling out all the stops in three stunt filled precision driving battles throughout the day in the Ford Live Action Arena. Who will you be rooting for, the young blood who is a seven time British Autotest Champion or father Russ, who has the experience of setting three Guinness World Records!
Don’t miss Paul and Russ in the Ford Live Action Arena at 10:30, 13:30 & 15:30.
BIO: PAUL SWIFT
Paul began performing stunts on the family ride-on-lawnmower back in 1986 at the tender age of seven. Following in the footsteps of his legendary stunt driving father Russ Swift, Paul soon became part of his Fathers act performing stunts in a half scale miniature car! He is a Seven Times British Autotest Champion, Guinness world record holder and Top Gear Stunt Driver. Now, Paul leads a team of the world best precision drivers performing blockbusting driving sequences for Motor shows, Top Gear and TV commercials around the world.
BIO: RUSS SWIFT
Russ formed a pioneering automotive display team way back in 1981 and since then has performed in countless TV adverts, over 8000 displays in over 50 countries, live motoring events and TV shows including Top Gear! Russ set three Guinness World Records including parallel parking in the tightest space, J Turn in the tightest space and the fastest do-nuts and has also achieved in motorsport winning 4 British Autotest Championships and an International Rally in Sweden in a Mini Cooper S in the early eighties.

some of the things at this years show are
Famous Faces at Ford Fair!
We are delighted to welcome current Team Aon Ford Focus S2000 TC WTTC driver James Nash, one of England’s rising stars of motorsport &the famous Mr Barry Lee, the man who pretty much dominated the Ford racing scene in the 70s to Ford Fair.
James Nash
James Nash is one of England’s rising stars of motorsport and Ford Fair can’t wait to play host to his racing talent. As a former Autosport/McLaren/BRDC Young Driver of the Year finalist and winner of the BTCC at Rockingham 2011, James certainly knows how to impress the crowds!
Not only will he be showing you some live action demos, but he will show you what he can do on the track and if you’re lucky he might have time to sign autographs and have some pictures taken. Make sure you check the timetable of events to watch James in action!

Barry Lee
We are delighted to welcome Mr.Barry Lee to Ford Fair, the man who pretty much dominated the Ford racing scene in the 70s.
For you die hard Ford fans you might have heard of J25 Project which later became the very first MkI Escort. Barry was given the task of modifying the MkI into an Autocross/Rallycross car and he was the very first person to race MkI, II and III Escorts. Now there’s a title to own! Still to this day, Barry’s love of Fords rally cars is still apparent and something that has rubbed off to his son who is now on the circuit. Listen out for Barry on the day as this man has lived the life that many Ford racing fans dream of.
Louise Cook
Louise’s first rally driving experience was at the age of 19 whilst studying Car Design at Coventry University. Louise was at a car show and saw a competition advertised to encourage more women into Rallying. Louise entered and found herself with a result of 2nd out of 1000 women, with no previous motorsport experience, This gave her the confidence to get her licence and enter her first ever rally thanks to her student loan.
Last year, Cookie competed in the MSA British Rally Championship and became Vice Champion of the nations most competitive one make rally series the Ford Fiesta Sport Trophy in the Fiesta ST and was crowned British Female Rally Champion. For 2012 Louise is in the World Rally Championship in only her 3rd full season.
