jghs83, have you tried opening the little 'ski hatch' in the rear bulk head and see how that helps output on the subs? I have a feeling you may be 'strangling' the design with the small opening...

It might not help...but generally 4/6th order bandpasses like to be vented 'into' vehicles with atleast the same size opening as the 'mouth' of the enclosure...

Some quality looking systems here

Bassboy, the opening is only ever so slightly smaller than the port of the sub, it doesnt sit flush with the bulkhead so some sound ends up in the back, plus the cutout was intended for a single kicker l7

My nav d22 sub, built not bought :P

Old astravan setup

All pretty crude to look at but sounded well

My looks shit in comparison to some of the above.

I'll put a pic up of mine in a couple of days, just waiting for my new boot carpet to arrive.

The rest is still standard for now, going to uprate the front door speakers to JL's when the weather warms up a bit! The headunit is standard ford as it is all built in with the heater controls/navigation/bluetooth phone etc so I couldn't loose it!

We built this earlier this year for a disabled lad that wanted to compete in the EMMA series of competitions.
It's a pug 107 and initially i designed it with 6x15"s but the quality of the kit is shall we say questionable. We rebuilt it for the european finals with only 4x15"s and had the amplifiers tweaked to produce power closer to the stated figures.
Personally I can't be arsed with it all anymore and have a completely standard set up in my own car but I do still like sitting in a car with a big system.

Strange that.....you see my install with the 4 18's? It runs 38kwrms (yes 38,000!) and it managed 158.2db today....you have what looks like a pair of 12s and say you did 160db.....
