Default Dj setup help

I am a budding Dj and am looking for my own decks. I have been looking on the bay but not too sure what I am looking at. I want 2 direct drive decks and a mixer but it seems like a mine field. Anyone got any advise? If anyone on here has a setup they are looking to off load then please pm me. I do not have a huge budget, so not top end equipment.

everyone will swear by technics, ( they are the best) but they come at a cost!!!

i have, and have stuck with for quite a while now,

2 x numark tt pro's ( the slightly older ones, with disgital read out) chrome plated
and a gemini mixer ( cant remember the name, they use it in Trip2 in southampton, its spot on.

the decks were about 800ih new, the mixer is arounf the 120 mark.

i really like numark, but if i had the money i would like new technics!

If you ever intend to play out anywhere then don't waste your time and money, buy Technics (SL1210 m2/3 are cheap on ebay now)..

Here's my old ones

ive found that technic 1210's or 1200's are the best imo ! with mixers don't spend silly money until u know u want to do, more than just mixing, as in effects etc..
i should be buying a new mixer in the next few months so will be getting rid of mine soon pioneer djm600s it the bollox ! i can always pm u if ur intresed?? loads of fx ! i just want the newer model pioneer djm800 as it has a much wider range !

Ive had technics / vestax / sony /... my best bet would b trechnics but at the moment any modern direct drive package is well worth the price.
i found the vestax dint hold the mix as good as technics, an these sonys ive ended up with are like aliminium frizbys there well to light.
but if u get bookins anywhere ur gaurenteed to b playin on 1210's & pioneer cdj1000's with pioneer djm 600 mixer.....best off goin into a shop like hard to find records or something of the like and have a feel of the decks feel the weight of them how light the platter is etc. a good set of needles dont go a miss on cheap decks too.
