Default Tyres

Need a new set of tyres for the Ninja soon, what have you lot had good experience with?

Also any cheap places to buy them on line? I've seen a few sets on ebay but none of them seem to do the size combo I need for mine...

i have used dunlop 207rr
bridgestone bt014s and 12s
all work very well and get good milage but it all depends how you use them.
done lots of road miles and a couple of trackdays and all fine
use rennsports at the moment very sticky but not to many miles on them.
dunlops cost me Ł150
bridgestonesŁ160
and rennsports was free as i was given them.

Pirelli Diablo Corsas or Dunlop D208RR are IMHO the best ones at the mo. HTH.
Don't like Michelin (although i'm french ) because i find them too long to get in temperature, and are VERY slippy when cold (especially if you have loads of low end torque). This is my own opinion tho, and caused me bad surprises from time to time on track when they were cold because of the HUGE torque my Ducati's have, but you may not notice it on a 600.

ask someone with the same machine,as they vary on all bikes, the characteristics of the bikes will be very similar,so youll get the best advice, try the models web page,ie,zx6r etc,see whats good.

or dare i say ask mcn online

ive had to change my tyres to avon's due to the 12's apetitie for rears, the dunlop 208r lasted 1200 miles without fookin about to much either , the avon has been specially made for the 12 with much more tread to give extra time between changes being a 200/50/17 'j' rated !
