Default Need some advice from bikers

Hi.

I have £4000 cash burning a hole in my pocket and I think it's time I got a proper motorbike.

I want something thats absolutley mental in acceleration and power and looks good, preferably a streetfighter.

Ive come across these bikes that are listed on ebay, but I really would appreciate some advice on what I should buy. Keeping in mind that Im 21 and how much insurance would cost on top of it all.

2002 KWAK ZX636 A1P
1998 SUZUKI GSXR 1100L
2002 YAM YZF R1
1997 HONDA FIREBLADE

Any ideas?

Regards

For a start mate they dont make a 1998 Suzuki GSXR1100L

And all the bikes youve listed are Supersports NOT Streetfighters .

If you want a Fighter then look at 1000 Fazers 1200 Bandits , late 80s early 90s Gixer 1000s , Suzuki TLSs etc etc

Oh ok. I just copied what the title of the add said on ebay.

I know they are supersports. I wouldnt mind owning one. But like I said Id prefer a streetfighter.

But cheers anyway for the advice.

If you want a streefighter and a bullet proof engine then get yourself a Suzuki GSXR1100L/M Model

These make the best Streefighters by far and I owned one myself

However Ive just noticed your age an it will cost an arm and a leg

Take a big Monster 900, or 1000 if you can afford, and you'll know what acceleration ant torque means .
Also, it looks far better than all the bikes you listed here, that will look old fashioned in less than 2 years...

bandit 12 ? my mates got a bandit 6 and it just loves being on the back wheel, also have you passed your test ? if not i wouldn't recommend jusmping straight on a 1200 cc bike as you'll end up being an organ donar fast in my opinion

I passed my test just over two years ago, but Ive only had up to a 400cc bike. A Honda VFR N30 infact.

But since my last post I have changed my mind about getting a big bike because quite right Id only kill myself. I haven't got the experience so instead I'm looking round a Bandit 600, a Hornet etc for a streetfighter or a smaller supersport.

If anyone has something i might be interested in then please email me their spec and some pics to: wannabeanengineer@hotmail.com.

Cheers

Hello.

I bought my Suz TL1000R a couple of days ago and I think it's the dogs nuts.

Screw the 'not enough experience' lark. I'm just loving its acceleration.

GSX sub frame and seat.
Ohlins uprated suspension
USD forks lowered 7mm
GPR Stabilizer/ damper
Fast action throttle
M4 Titanium cans
Tokico calipers and wavey discs front and back
Braided hoses
Loads of carbon goodies, Titanium screws
Clear clutch cover

Thats all I can think of while I'm writing this.

Loads of reciepts for it and I even got one piece leathers with it. But they're Fireblade colours, purple and yellow.

Pics are here...

Cheers

If you have just passed your test then im my opinion a suzuki sv650 is something you should consider, its v-twin 650cc,bags and bags of torque which means getting up on the back wheel is easy(trust me i own one). Its got semi street fighter looks, sound absoultely brutal when aftermarket can fitted to it.not to expensiev to insure and very chuckable round corners.[img][/img]
