Default Honda Monkey / Pit Bike Tuning? TAKEGAWA?

Recently got a Honda ATC110 trike with a single cylinder ohc 4 stroke engine in it as found in the nobba 90

These engines have been around years and used in loads of different things inc all the new pit bikes

Just wondered if anyone had tuned one up?

Takegawa in Japan do some awsome stuff for them

sure you could retro fit a chinky 150cc (lifan) engine straight in austin
but them trikes with a 90cc are all ready lethal

buy a monkeybike instead

The ATC route is a defo, want to relive my youth and there quite collectable now, be also good as a pit bike when doing drag and track days

The Lifan with auto clutch and electric start sounds a good upgrade but not sure on the quality of these engines?

Hopefully i can help mate i used to race pitbikes for years an spent way too much money on them in that time lol

basicly imo a taki engine is way to much for the trike unless you want to race competitivly to get a engine like uve pictured your talking 3k plus easy..

Ur best bet is to buy a cub90 engine and bore it up to 110 high comp and add a inner roter kit. The inner rotor will make it rev up like a 2stroke and totaly changes the engine.

As it happens i have some kit left over from
my biking days if intrested. (high comp 110cc ahp piston used once, boyson alloy nicasel lined barrel used once and i also have dress up kits, handle bars an poss a inner rotor)

I have many guides to help u build the engines etc very easy to do and can help if u want to pm me

deffinatly wouldnt do the takigawa route if ur not competing.

Matty
