I have a one piece technic chicane suit in black and gunmetal, forma F1 race boots, and a toseland LE suomy vandal, amongst a few others as spares or for a change.
The leathers retailed at £300-£400 when i got mine, i got them for £50 brand new with free knee sliders!
The boots retailed at around £120, i got them for £30.
The toseland LE i got from the USA when the exchange rate was all good and it came £100 cheaper than here in the UK and i got a free black visor with it!!!!
Also have an agv ti-tech that i got from the show for £150 when they were retailing at around £250-£300.
I love a good bargain!!!!!
Id hold on to the next BMF show mate if you can. Ridiculously cheap if you look around well and get there early enough. I got around a grands worth of gear for about £300.

they weigh next to nothing too, nic cut outs for your ears so there not squashed.
am jsut scared to use mine incase i mark it lol
thats my carbon one, and my daily bitch when i had a bike....
HJC lids are good value i think, so comfortable but the cheaper ones are a bit heavy. not the end of the world though.

well as i was told when I was buying my helmet.ten dollar helmet for a ten dollar head.when it comes to protection U cant cut corners.proper helmet and gloves are crucial,as if god for bit u come off Ur bike its either Ur head hitting the ground first or u do the natural thing and go to put Ur hands down to break Ur fall

i don't wanna mark it, LOOK AT THE WEAVE!!! lol

Mines a HJC FS10 Carbon, i really like it, as said before weighs nothing and its really comfy, used mine everyday this year and its been fine, i paid £235 for mine back in 2007 but i really do rate it. Looks awesome in summer when the suns shining!!

Im probably going to shock you here (and many others), but arai actually only score 2 out of 5 in the saftey tests, lower than many cheaper helmets too. Quite suprising really as many people seem/seemed to think arai are/were 'the best'.
Bottom line is, most of the helmets on the market will do the job, but i always prefer to spend that little bit more for piece of mind really. Comfort and fit should be the main concern really, as if it doesnt fit well, then generally speaking the helmet wont be as effective. Cheap helmets feel cheap, more expensive ones feel better in my opinion.
This is the lid im using at the moment, very comfy, if a little noisy. Its a toseland limited edition made to celebrate his 2007 WSB championship victory. I actually have 2, one is unused in the box, and i got it signed by toseland 2 days before the 2008 donnington moto gp.

Its mad aint it, some of the prices you can end up paying for stuff is mental, i dont really mind tho as i like to look good and be well protected and you cant put a price on that.
One of the other main reasons i bought a bike too, i lost more money on my cossie in a year than i paid for my bike
A grand is fuck all to a cossie, where as you would get a good suit and boots for that, which will last you for years.
