Default VTR Firestorm - Anyone owned one?

Thinking about getting a bike in the near future but not to sure what to get, want to spend about 1800quid. Dont want a piddly 600 as im over 6ft2 but dont want anything to hardcore, so I was considering a Honda firestorm, has anyone owned one, and would the suit over 6footers?

Ta in advance

Pete

Always wondered what these were like the only thing ive have heard is that they only have a small tank and you only get around 70/80 miles to a full tank due to the size of it!
Apart from that i cant see um being bad at all typical honda reliability and neutral handling!

I rode my friends one a few times before he wrote it off, VTR Firestorm 1000. It felt fast, and you need some thigh power to hold yourself on it when accellerating hard lol

I'm 6 foot 4 and have had a bandit 600 a gsxr 600 a z1000 and now have an r1. Tbh its not really the engine size that determins the size of the bike as my bandit 6 was the biggest nd most comfortable. Anything sporty wil promote the stance of knees up head down

Thanks for the replies guys.

Alps Pacino - Yeah your probably right, I just remember my 636 ninja was torture for me after an hour. And my big ol RSV I could sit on all day.

Plus im not to mush of a fan of Fours, prefer V-twins.

i have one for sale within your budget. whereabouts are you?

i am 6'2" and find it very comfortable. ideal for a first bike imo as it is so easy to ride and has easily controllable grunt without having the sudden rush that you can get from inline 4's

2000, about 11,000 miles, 6 months tax and mot, very good condition, 3 sets of exhaust cans (std, micron road, micron race)
