I've just had some Avon Vipers, Ł210 fitted. Nice and sticky, best part is that Avon have a type of warranty at moment. Within first 1mm of tread they will replace the tyre if it's punctured.

Good job really, I'd done 30 mile and then got a puncture in the back, only cost me a tenner for fitting and got a brand new one, and another warranty!!!

Same here. Ive had BT014's on both my gsxr's and i cant really fault them for performance. They dont last that long though, only around 2000 miles out of a rear.

Im going to go for the BT021 next time. Supposed to last much longer without compromising on grip for fast road use.

baker p, surely you dont mean both front AND rear for Ł110 fitted to wheels? Sounds mega cheap that, i pay Ł100 fitted to the bike for a rear and thats a decent price i thought. Ł170 for the pair on bike which is much cheaper than anywhere else ive found.

Not sure what the difference is in those mate. All i know is that the 021 is a harder compound on the middle. Is your tyre man in corby or manchester mate and does he fit them to the bike? I may have a trip over this summer some time if the deal is open to anyone? Its a nice run over the woodhead from here too.

avon bike tyres... CRINGE!!!

pilot power 2CT's are spot on, as are metzeller rensports i think they are

and any of the bridgestone BT's are immense tyres IMO

avon and continental i would steer well clear of on a bike

Nice one mate, ill let you know when my tyres are a bit low, probably a good few months yet i reckon, and i might pop down that way. Some decent roads down that way too so would be a good ride out too. Cheers mate.
