Are the jap bikes that are to be sold in the UK actually made in the UK or are they all imported from japan complete and ready to register over here?

Been looking at a few and some say 'UK bike' so i assume some will be made over here and some made over in japan? Does this actually affect the values as with import cars?

some are made for european use so will have an import headlight where beam kick off is to offside and speedo reads km's

 

i have an import one and it is only a uk bike when built in this country, mine was imported from japan, which as said means its all in km's plus you can never garuntee how its been used before, also insurance is more on these bikes but not by much, depends on the size of bike ur looking to get.

 

Thanks for the replies guys. I did find quite a difference on insurance between uk bikes and import bikes, so ive gone for a geniune uk bike with only 1600 mile on the clock.
