the red lifter truck is the second option from the yellow flat bed recovery truck mate

you have to download the instructions from the internet nowadays for the second model

I didn't know that thanks Dojj, i presumed that they had gotten more complicated so just allowed the one model these days. Just been on the technic site. Some of the b models are quite good. Cheers

I've got the recovery truck and crane Warren posted.

I've also got:
- the big red sports coupé with the bendy bits
- 4x4...well, got 2 of them - the second one had new features like adjustable ride height, working winch and lights
- JCB
- older version of the crane (6 wheels instead of 8)
- Hi-ab truck mounted crane (looks a little like a Scania)
- tracked excavator

I also had a couple of small sets when I was 7 or 8...a race car and a motorbike I think.

And a ton of normal lego :-D

All at home on top of my wardrobes lol

I think the green recovery truck will be about Ł99 and the crane Ł149 RRP but that was prices from last month, might have been adjusted since then.

are these like legitimate models for the up and coming months or just stuff you've made for youself?

i ask because the crane end is poking out of the background on the low loader model lego page on the building instructions

The service truck was a pretty quick build about 6 hours and it was done, wheels look to small for the body as well.

I rediscovered two of mine a few months ago, I have the old red 'Test Car' as already pictured and the later black supercar with 4wd and 4 wheel steering (Kit no. 8880).

With the red test car there appears to be a fault causing an over-loading of the gears in first gear which I managed t fix on mine with a very simple modification. I also converted both cars to right hand drive

I used to over this as a kid after finding it in the lego leaflet that came with a small set I got for Christmas once.

I must have been about 8 or 9 because I can remember to this day finding this exact set at school in a cupboard, as I lifted the lid my hope of actually seeing the bits in the flesh were destroyed in a second. What was in the box was just a motley collection of odd LEGO bits

Funny how things stay with you. Might be off to eBay to fulfil that desire

I have been doing the same over the years with G1 Transformers
