Default wheel help

hey guys, im a noob here and this wil be my first 1:18 scale car(ive only done 2 1:24's) and im also quite young so i dont know much about taking things apart etc.. but anyway, im gonna buy my first 1:18 car to customise, it will be a ford escort(if anyones selling one thatd be cool ;D) and i was wondering, which wheels fit sun star escorts without having to glue them and how do you take the wheels off? alsoo, how do you take things like the engine and windows and the base of the car off?
sorry for the essay :L

Hello & welcome

The wheels on a sunstar escort are screwed on as below. Just pop the center cap off and unscrew.

The body is held to the base by 8 screws, 2 in each wheel arch.

With the windows, they are stuck in. I just used a flat head screw driver and sort of flicked them out.

RS1600i ones do but glueing them on isnt realy a problem. A little fileing may be needed so that the wheel doesnt stick out of the arches.

Without any fileing

With fileing

Easy to see which is better.

These are glue'd on so they dont turn. It lives in its box for now so doesnt matter. 99.9% will need glueing on.

They wont turn as the fitting is different on every brand of model car. If you just file the bit that holds the wheel onto the car, thats fine. It will be more obvious to see what to file when the wheels are off the car.

u will be very very limited to what wheels will go straight on but as they are show models and not toys many of us just glue them on then you will have many quality wheels to pick from

When you take the wheels off the sunstar escort, your left with this

If you just file / cut that off, then glue the new wheels to that.

All our cars are shelf queens, not toys.

You just need a small sharp object, Little screew driver type thing.
Pop out the center cap.
Or if your not bothered about the wheels cut them off. lol
