Well this started out as a standard mk3 cab, i decided it looked a bit plain so changed it a bit by making it into a rs1600i was gona get the decals but never did.


I then thought about making it into a rs turbo as i had all the bits already on it so had ago at it.


Then went to be an estate top was to high tho.



then made it into an pick up then i droped it and things went wrong.



Then finally staying on this project it then went to be a mk3 van and this is how it is at the min.















The doors have been cut to look like the real vans 1s.

Can i ask what these models are to start with and where did you get them?
Also what sort of price are they?
And finally, what do you use and how do you customise them so well?

Very interested in getting into these models but very unsure of where to start

 

buy some cheap models off ebay and play with them, i messed up the first few i stripped and sprayed but getting better lol, im doing my first totaly modded one now but just started

 

Hi mate u can gat them on ebay or model shops, 1-18 they r, for the mk3 escorts well they r round Ł20 to Ł35 depends what 1's u want and they just started out like these


U should have ago mate we use milliput and plastic card and filler to do the models mate hope this helps hope to see u do 1 its great mate and they r worth loads if u do the job properly, ive seen estates go for Ł200 and the people only brought them for Ł40.

 

if u r on bout your mk1's, they were a great first attempt it was only the rubbers that weren't perfect but come on its your first go, and u r defo getting better mate.

cheers, well now the weathers better the spraying sld be better but im only doing one at a time and not rushing. just waiting for payday now for some parts

 

What type of Milliput putty is it?

 

i can do it for longer now in the garden now the nights r longer.

Gonna order some and see about getting a model on order tonight, dunno what to go for first though lol

 

go on model zone and look for the 1-18 mk3 escorts then thier should be a bronze 1 for Ł20 and others but their more and take your time never rush cause it goes wrong. this is prob cheapest to buy new mate.
