i have been away down in devon/cornwall working ,got back late last night.
got nothing done on models lately, must get the cossie mk3 finished.
been working on real car today.striped the front end down as the radiator needed changing.problem was when i went to fit new 1 ,one of the inlet pipes was wrong so iam now without a car till at least tuesday. bloody unipart lol!!

thanks to alan who cut off the bumper from my sierra for me, ive been able to get cracking with the S2.
attached the sierra bumper (looking at it now i wish id taken a slightly bigger section out of the middle as its still pretty wide, but not that bad) and been layering it up in bits with milliput, not finished yet obviously, very messy but its coming on nicely

also did a bit to the xr4i, though you cant see much in this pic, just looks a mess lol

I had a go with the milliput today. Not totally sure im using it right. After you've mixed the 2 parts together, what do you do? Leave it for a bit? I just started making my spoiler and it took ages to get get it right. Was using a drop of water even now and then to smooth it. Think that its gonna need a lot of sanding to be smooth

Also, when you leave it to set, what do you put it on? I use an old metal tea tray as thats all ive got.

Got loads of ideas on what to make. Subs, amps, spoilers, vents. Just gonna have to practice for a while.

Any tips?

& I got a new colour rattle can in the post. 1st coat looks good.

u can use straight away . the longer u leave it will start getting harder.
i found using a baby wipe smooths it of nicely without ruining shape and sticking to it.

ano mate they are crap they had loads of bubble spots in them scratches not worth the money at all and because i had to fill them and sand and spray them they have lost the shape of the centre the 50p like shape but they still look good the centre caps aint round either they have flat spots i wont use them again ill stick to your wheels from now on just really like them wheels thats all but !!!!

no what u mean . iwould love a set but for the price i expect them to be finished nice.
