As you may have read in another one of my posts elsewhere, I'm setting up some registers for limited edition Fords. The first one (simple because TalkFord.com used to be FordMondeo.org and hence we have a shedload of Mondeo owners ) is our Mondeo Citrine register.

So what was special about these then apart from the colour the body kit and the wheels. Im just interested. Why did they only make so many of them.

 

No-one really seems to know. The story goes that each Ford Dealership was given one to celebrate the launch of the Mondeo Mk1, but that's all we know really!

 

So were they on a K L reg plate then.

 

Yeah, all 93/94 from what we can gather. Haven't seen any later than that.

I can't remember the reg of the one I scraped. Gutted I had to get rid like.

Is there any way of getting info of reg's from DVLA that you have owned over the years?

PM me when if you find out. All i can remember it was on an L plate, 16" Si (like cozzy) alloys and the RS body kit. Scrapped it as the rear springs had snapped, emission on tick over where 10x the legal limit, rusted to bits and well, was shagged tbh.

Not my doing I might add! I only bought it off a lad in camp to get home when I got back from tour years ago and use it as a run around. 2001 I got it I think and lasted 2 MOT's so for Ł600 cheap motoring.

Just a shame it was piss poor when I got it and shame I scrapped it.

i have a mk1 citrine at my work place at min its just had full respray and as for the 1 in shrewsbury i have been sent a pic today by a friend of a mk1 citrine with some grapics up it is that the 1 your talking about i will put some pics up sone of the 1 thats at my unit wich belongs to a friend of mine

I thought all mondeos this colour had the bigger ford bumpers/side skirts and alloy wheels on.?

i have one also really thinkink about parting with it as just stood on my drive way been sorn for last 3 years has had a lot of money spent on it all mods were done in london and there is a lot sorry dont really know a lot about these things but i just fell in love with the car and bought it ...as you do the reg is l325 sno i have loads of photos and a heap of history from the car but in all honesty a viewing would be better as the modifications its had speaks a lot and is truly a eye catcher and i dont know how to add piccy or would post a few

yes thats the one still looks the same needs 2 tyres now as they are way past it but still really nice wish i could post a few piccy i will have to learn how to do it
also the engine looks pretty mean as well and only done 31k also sound deadned i know that lol 19" alloys twin stainless exhausts all lights up inside a lovely blue dash board and speakers also 2 alarms clifford and cobra really needs to be seen to be appreciated heres a few picy once engine cleaned i will add them to some specs that i know of

this car is amazing and looks amazing for a l reg
rear sub in boot, jbl amp ,door handles light blue as do speaker centers, optimised top spec powerflo exhaust pretty much rally burble lol
like i say i reall y would like ppl to view it before offering me anything and would like to see it go to someone who would basiccly use it instead of gathering dust as tbh its all its done while i have owned it be lucky if it done 100 miles in the time i,ve had it.

heres a link to car if it works lol i,m new to computers i still need to take piccys of engine yet as i took battery of a while ago but i have been starting up regularly taking batery of my other car and i would like to polish and clean up ...any way i have decided to sell it so like i say it does need 2 tyres and there is a bit of rust on rear drivers wheel arch which is nothing as you can see from piccys car is in great nic you can just pm me if you intrested thx steve
