you need to use it within 2 years or is goes to waste

transferring it is fine because it's "live" within that period

I lost mine after 2 years because I had a company car. I started from 0 again last year when I bought my little merc but it was only 360 a year to insure anyway with 3 points for speeding.

Hi,
Just to let you know we do have a number of insurance schemes that can use NCD which is up to 3 years old.
Regards,
Dan.

its only as two of my cars are due renewals one day after the other, and want to split them up abit, to spead my outgoings a bit better

PS dont worry about theft issue , the car im not going to insure for a few months ( probably ) isn't worth much and wouldn't claim if nicked anyways
