st at 21 ????

Default st at 21 ????

im soon to be 21 and was looking at a focus st,does any one have an idear of insurance and what group they are?

I believe they are group 17. I had one at 23 and it cost around £490 a year to insure (living in the sticks, and full NCB of 6 years)

Hi Pete,

As per Elwood, the official grouping for the focus ST from the Association of British Insurers (ABI) is 17, or 15 for the older ST170 model.

If you ever need to find the current ABI recommended grouping, which forms the starting group for most Insurers until they gain their own experience with each individual vehicle go to this link (see search field on right hand side of page):

Insurers do re-rate all respective vehicles once they gain their own data for claims experience, but the ABI scale is normally adopted by most UK Insurers as a starting point.

I pay £500 for my 2007 ST3 with direct line. Thats with me @ 23 with 5 years protected + legal + garanteed hire car.
