Default insurance issue

rang greenlight today to restart my policy with them as the shonkster is ready almost,

i need to get it for mot soon,so rang to start insurance as i know i can then drive it too and back from an mot....

they wont start my policy unless its got mot how the fuck do they expect it to be taken for test when i cant drive it?

aparently i have to arange another insurance to take it for test.....one fookin trip, half a mile

come on, its not like i could carry on driving without mot, the police database would pick me up in no time,

try and do things the right way and get fucked over, should just drive it uninsured

how can they say that you need an MOT? what about people who insure cars that sit in their garage and dont actually use them?

thats absolutely ridiculous

its stupid, im 99% sure there is a bit in the insurance policy that states if its driven in a unroadworthy condition, the cover is void, so its my risk not theres....

all i want is to get it on the database as insured, then i can legaly drive it to test

why tell them its got no MOT? i'd just ring back and tell them you had it tested and it passed, their T's & C's are going to be no different to anywhere elses.
just don't crash it on the way to the MOT station

who says you took it for its MOT? you dont have to take it personally do you, it could have been someone insured with a traders policy who took it for test like us, who would have been covered at the time
