Brunters Killed my 3 Door, D***POP is Dead! **Now with Photos Page 2**
Just taken the head off Piston 1 has melted ,head gasket blown apart, slightly marked the head (should be saveable), turbo has gone quite stiff no play in shaft or visable damage to blades, oil everywhere!
I'll get some photos of the damage up later.
I could cry!
Other than that is was a really good day out.
Cheers to The Fast Ford Guys and the photographers and all the nice people I meet yesterday.

Ouch!
Jamie was adamant it was a piston, we were hoping it was just a gasket. But it was pretty bad. Shame mate
Nice to meet you pal, glad you came along....like i said, it will be stronger for it now. Get the head done as well and you will be ripping!

bad times, when my mate blew up my saff, the head was scrap, the block was scrap and bits of valves went straight through the turbo, so i know how it feels.
luckily he paid for the rebuild, found a virgin 4x4 head and std bore 200 block along with all ancillaries (turbo, inlet, alternator etc) for Ł750. and he bought it all, i built it back up

Sorry to hear that Rich
I have to say I was quite surprised to hear that you had ran it at Brunters given that we knew the engine had some sort of issue on Saturday, having said that.... The long straight at Brunters does bring out the devil in you!
As mentioned the car was mapped on my rollers eairlier in the year, it keeps records of all AFR plots and had plently of fuel, the ignition map is no where near on the edge either and was very clean on the det cans.
Onwards and upwards Rich, if you need any help just shout.
