yep not working for me either, just bought heavy rain too and downloaded the update now i cantr play lol, it seems its only a problem with the old fat ps3's, dunno why but the date on mine was reset till 1/1/2000

I had to buy a new ps3 slim as my old 60gb wouldnt read any discs! Seems as if theyre all falling apart now

800 codes are hardware issues.
However, there is so many people having the error suddenly pop up (me included) that i hope its a server issue. If not, someone at sony has dropped a bollock on the latest frimware update.

there isn't much on the PS website to explain what a 8001050f code is about. However, its definately something to do with servers over hardware as thousands of people are having problems. So people have lost all throphies trying to log in so i'm gonna leave it until its sorted.
Apparently not the first time its happened, alot of people got the same error code a few years back

 

PSN is down for some users, including myself. I seen the hardware issue also and about shit myself..thinking I dont want to send this in as I stream alot through ps3 on a daily basis. Researching some more google news confirms that PSN is having a issues with certain users giving the code error that you posted.

I think its very wide spread because I'm in the U.S. and alot of other countries are having the same issue.

The advice is, do not use the console in the next 24 hours. It is apparently down to problems with the internal clock, apparently thinking we are in a leap year and getting itself in abit of a muddle.

Abit pissed off as I wanted to have an hour or so on Fifa but it corrupts all trophy data so it won't load.

Right, been doing some research into it and it has been caused by the fact its a leap year. So the playstation thinks that today is the 29th of feb when its the 1st of march.

Sony have said hopefully the issue will be resolved by midnight and the clock will set itself right, if not, they are going to start working on a solution there after.

 

Mines down too. cant even olay pro evo offline!! dam you!!
