Default granada 24v, manual gearbox conversion help??

Hi I'm considering converting my 92 J plate granada boa cosworth to a manual gearbox. I know apparently the mt75 gearbox is what to use, but is there different types of mt75 or will anyone do?? also I need to change the pedal box obviously but what else should I know, have been told the flywheel has to be changed and alsorts, could you people in the know tell me what i'll need, and is there any potential problems I may encounter?? maybe there's a thread on here that shows how to do it???

You need a hybrid g'box made up from the front bellhousing of the V6 4x4 mt75 and the rear section of the V6 2wd mt75 (hens teeth springs to mind!!)

Have a cruise round this site as its the most common transplant into a sierra.

you can put a t5 in, there are adaptor plates arround.

But if you know a gearbox man just get a xr4x4 box and a twin cam box and he can do the rest.

yes you can put a T5 in it BUT it depends how long you want it to stay there??? The minute you give it full beans you'll just sit still revving the t*ts off it!! As well as Sierra's these are a good conversion for the Capri with the huge engine bay. Given that the Boa is (IIRC) 196BHP and the Bob is 206bhp, the T5 was only built to cope with around 150bhp (standard output for the 2.8i Capper) so as you can imagine.... it will fit, but it won't be long till you're taking it out again!

no the type 9 is not the box you need, the T5 will take 500bhp
