It was just Clarkson being a drama queen again saying that with all the financial troubles and shit going on in the world today that manufacturers aint going to be making performance cars any longer and the Aston would be the last of the breed, what a load of shite.

I agree actually, they aint as good as they used to be, i like the races and stuff but that advert thing was pants.

 

if the series finishes just watch all hte reruns on dave and pretend its a new series. they all follow the same tried and tested formula anyway.

I can't remember any time in my lifetime (i'm 36) where there has been such a massive choice of mental performance cars available from so many manufacturers.

Odd ending, bit OTT IMO. Total contradiction from the Ferrari article, where the latest Scuderia has sold out on pre orders!!

The end to this episode makes me want to cry a bit.

A 6 litre v12 Aston Martin.
One of the best petrol engined cars there is. And please don`t argue that insignificant point, I`m a Nissan fan, who cares what is best?
I think Clarckson is pointing out the fact that we don`t know what may soon become of the petrol engine.

things wont change. we were expected to be using hover cars by 10 years ago back in the 70's and what really changed? not much apart from the same type of petrol engined cars are much faster.

 

And much cleaner and much more efficient.

Last night was utter shite imho. I love watching it but that ad piece was a complete waste of time. The whole show just looked like they had run out of ideas!

 

that music gives me the creeps. Still, not too fussed that its off air again as it seems to have lost its mojo recently.

 

Wouldnt mind if its gone. This series has been a real let down, racing letters and consistent speed/time rally. I actually think the latest series of fifth gear has been better with things like making budget wheelie cars, drag cars etc.. classic races like ERST vs atsra GTE and Merc e190 cosworth vs sierra cosworth. Instead of some fourdoor 911 lookalike racing the royal mail *yawn*

 

Perhaps everyone who thinks they can do a better job should email jezza - the morris owners club do it !
