Default My Garage "Clear Out"

Since we moved in to this house 23 year ago our garage has been used as a bit of a dumping ground and has had the occasional "tidy" which was really just moving shit about to make it look less messy. Anyway over the past few years it has been well and truly neglected and all we have been doing is just throwing shit in and closing the door. It was looking like something from "A Life Of Grime" .

For ages I had threatened to have a clear out, I really wanted to be able to use the garage space productively, but every time I opened the door I just thought "nah, Ill do it later".

Anyway last weekend I decided enough was enough and I was gonna attack it. This is what I opened the door to.........

My work was cut out for me with this, no wonder I had been putting it off for years.

The plan was to empty the garage into the back garden then sort out what was to keep and what was to bin once it was all out there so the moving began.

After an hour or so of shifting stuff and binning bits and pieces as I went I came across this little fella.

Then a while later I came across these

A few more hours of moving and binning stuff and it began to look a bit like progress was being made

I also forgot I had this cupboard in the garage too

The billiard table to go with the previously found balls

Several more hours work sweeping, moving, cleaning and hoovering in there and it was looking more promising

My "cage" of Cosworth bits

Everything just about in its place now and roughly how it will stay, bar a couple of other bits and pieces. Still have a couple of cupboards to empty and sort but you get the idea.

It took over 12 hours of non stop working to do, and a few evenings after to sort the little bits out. its still not quite finished yet either but its useable now. Cant get a car in but its a great little work space now compared to what it was . If needs be I can move stuff easily and get the front end of a car in to keep out of the weather if Im working in an engine bay. Once my Fireblade is built too it will reside there also

We got one of those Roland Rats too.

Just about to finish packing up Mums house, ready to move. Had to go through 50 years of stored shit, so you've had it easy chap.

Beef, I keep looking round thinking about where the fuck I can put more Cossie stuff that isnt going to fuck up the Fung Shui

Yip Col the Sapph lives outside on the drive, it gets blocked in by the Vectra on a night. Not even covered when its sat there.

The 53" toolbox is new to replace the chest of drawers and x amount of stupid other little cantilever boxes and the like that had stuff in. Everything in one place now

The cupboard actually only has 2 XE heads in, along with the block, the rest of the engine components, harness, ECU's, shafts, brakes and a couple of other XE bits

You have to keep collecting cossie bits cause one day we all wont be able to get some of the bits for them any more.
