Something not right. And why would you pay for a "bare metal respray" then not bother replacing the boot badges?
I'm sure someone on here will know the seller, and this'll turn into the usual flamewar

This is rather off-putting too...
Vehicle Registration Mark L315 KHN
Make UNKNOWN
Model UNKNOWN
Transmission & fuel type PETROL
Body Type SALOON

Particularly as any other Escort Cosworth comes up as 3 door hatch

His response to my question
hi there when i took the car of the road for a full rebuild about 5 years ago the shell was riddled with rot (when i bought it, it had been sitting a while (i mean a while)on grass thus very low mileage)so instead of doing alot of weldind for sills and floor pans i bought a brand new 909 shell from a rally company (proper escort rally shell with id) the original shell was a n reg and scraped once finished with and the new shell came with a l reg hence the small turbo in the large turbo shell. i wasnt prepaired to swap tags from one shell to another (ringing) so i bought a new shell with proper a escort rs cosworth id and log book. also as an added bonus the car carries a rally logbook as well so could even go rallying. the door cards well see trying to find mk5 doors without signs of rot was proveing difficult, so i measured up the mk 6 doors the lines are perfect the only difference is the more rounder door handles and the door cards. the cosworth door cards still fit straight on and are included with the car but i preferd the mk6 ones thats why they are there. i havent put this in the discription as im telling the genuine buyers before they come the story of the car because you dont get the whole story in a sentence.
hope this helps if interested please give me a call.

Ironically, he has unwittingly built a ringer it would appear.
Its legal to reshell an L reg cossie into a new shell and keep the ID, but only i the major components are retained too.
There arent enough points in that for the L reg ID to be legally correct.
Hardly crime of the century though of course!
Bit pointless having a "documented 27K history" when its only since a rebuild or is half talking about another car etc.
Nice car, but TBH at that money I would sooner buy a "straight" one personally

Anyone who buys this thinking it's an original 27K car... well I suppose he does at least mention the respray.

I would but for 9k, fuck yeah if its as good as it looks in the pictures,I had a mint one and was put of driving it for fear of devaluing it with miles etc, at least with this one you wouldnt be bothered smashing the fuck out of it.
