I never get sick of listening to/watching vids of mk1's with BDA's, best sounding car to me ever. But what is it that gives them their unique sound ?

Ive heard other cars on throttle bodies/45's that sound similar but never quite the same.

Anyone know ?

it's a combination of open throttle bodies and cam timing in the main... in their own way the earlier Lotus Twin Cam was very similar

Gorgeous sound... I ran my 1400 BDA on twin 45's... its a sound that I will never forget - especially the way the engine note chnages to a buzz above 9000 rpm

Especially good in the forests when you get that wierd echoey sound to it too
