If you put a Samco hose next to a Roosemotorsport hose.....the samco looks total shite....................

Roosemotorsport Hoses are LOADS better and cheaper.........Samco are just living of the name

I agree that the roose motorsport ones are fantastic qualitry, never had a problem with mine at all or know anyone else who has, the service is great and they fit nicely to.

HOWEVER, i would not say they made samco look shit by comparison, that seems a little unfair, there is nothing wrong with samcos, both are a perfectly acceptable product.

The roose ones do look more robust on the boost side of things though, but im not sure the extra strength is espeically useful TBH

Lee, as above, the boost hoses are thicker, but is that actually any better?

Im NOT knocking the roose (in fact im recomending them, lol), im just saying that im not convinced that being twice as thick makes them any better really.

I've gone for samco and used Mr Rainbum

very very helpful.

I agree the roose ones are thicker, but have you ever seen a samco one burst?

Trouble is i wanted black hoses, and all of them so would have a waiting time from whoever i ordered them from.

As has been mentioned, the Roose ones are superior.

If you still want Samco's, then try:

Default Hose specification

Your quite right about the thickness of the hose not being a major player in the strength of the hose.
Hoses are made up of uncured calendered sheet silicone with a cloth reinforcement. (plys). It is this cloth that gives the strength of the hose. The silicone sheet with the reinforced cloth comes in many different thicknesses. Depending on how thick you have this material and how many plys depends on the thickness of the hose.
For example:
4 plys of 1.5mm thick sheet has a wall thickness of 6mm
5 plys of 1mm thick sheet has a wall thickness of 5mm. (Much stronger).
The roosemotorsport hose in 3dr stretch's picture was biult to the customers specification for a GT30 turbo running huge boost. This was made up of 5 plys of 1.5mm thick material.
Another thing to consider is the strength of the fabric. We use 3 types: nomex and glass fabric reinforcement. This has a span of -60 degree's C to +240 degree's C and polyester reinforcement with a span of -60 degree's C to +180 degree's C.
We test our hoses on accelerated ageing and dynamic testing facilities which replicate long term vehicle duty. So be assured you are buying hoses to the finest standards of quality available today.

Ryan.
If you purchase our black hoses you purchase every hose on the car and we'll delivery in 24hrs.

Default Hoses

Hello Richard.

We don't have any prospect of doing the MR2 hoses as yet as we are trying to stick with the manufacturers we have already.
