Buying a saph
i'm thinking of buying a 2WD Sapphire cosworth but I've never driven one, and to be honest i dont think there is really any way i will get to drive one until i have bought one.
Any idea's??

trouble is i doubt you'd find 2 that drove alike so testing one may not give you a good enough idea. if you lived near me i'd let you have a go............for a Ł6k deposit, fully refundable
so i'd find one you like and test it with the intention of buying if you like

The thing with Cossies mate, is they are old and can go wrong at any time, and probably during ya ownership will do exactly that, all u can do is check that it is a straight car, the police dont want it , and someone to check the engine over who knows what to listen/look for.

I've got a series 2 at the mo so i'm used to problems
I've just never driven a cossie so wondering if there as good as people say, i dont mind about scratches, cark park dings etc as long as its solid and has a mint engine, pref stg 1

go to a pub meet and ask a few people,,,,, thats the best way tbh
if mine was done i would let you have a test drive as there not as bad as people make out,,,,,,, just respect em and there normal imo
ive had MORE near misses with ABS powered cars than my cossie,,,,,, thats MUCH worse imo as you cant control the braking down hill
if your not in a hurry then when my car is done feel free to pop over and test drive,,,,,,,,,,, mine is gonna feel EXACTLY as a cossie should as ive changed most parts of it for new ford parts,,,,,,,,, everything in the steering part/bushes/bearings
also the engine and everything in there has been swopped too so would also give some sort of insite,,,,,,,,,,,, but be warned you need to be paitent and my car aint a bufty machine

i aint worried about treating it with respect,,,,,,,, your only gonna test drive it,,,,,,, not loaning it for the weekend
dont worry mate we have all have been there,,,,, just alot of use forget that we never drove a cossie before,,,,,,, some have been lucky and had mates,,,, not everyone has mates who has a cossie though
as said soon as its done if your able to pop down or too a meet and ill let you take it for a spin
but i will say that with a quaife diff and 235/45/17's on 8 ins rl7's the car aint exactly a sideways machine
