Default Engine failure

Just seing the post of what happen to Ades car. Jnd wondering what the most common problem of engine failure is in the cosworth engines. Im pressuming the most common is poorly setup with lack of fueling?

yep, at a guess lack of maintenance and regular checks. meaning degrading components go unnoticed and then meltdown happens

doesn't cylinder three always seem to go too, poor inlet design presumably?

it was not any thing to do with the fueling m8 when i spoke to him the day after the thrash it was down to the piston

thing is how many blow up ie hole a piston when running standard boost??

most common failures i have seen are (not in any order):

engine not built right in the first place, ie a clearance out or a bolt not tightened or similar

poor maintainaince

poor tuning



Most common basic failure on any turbo car has to be the head gasket
