drove my saff for the 1st time in
5 mths after it boke down @ the Essex meet in September cos I didn't have the time to take a good look @ it till Thursday last week!
it cut out with a few big bangs and spluttered to a halt WOULDN'T fire up and sounded as though it was flooding!
guess what the problem was?

if it was flooding the engine theres a fairly good chance the fuel cut off and fuel tank had a tiny bit of fuel in it,,,,,,,,, could be wrong though as i know fuck all about mechanics

Team HOTHOT!
the crank pully bolt had loosened and the crank pully had started to work its way forward, thus the crank sensor cannot detect the lugs and therefore the engine won't run?

mine was the same problem with the pulley sensor. When we prised off the pulley to change the cambelt, we accidently knocked the sensor out of position without knowing, and for weeks we were trying different things, and in the end, i went out there one night and just knocked the sensor closer just to try, and it fired up STRAIGHT away. Was gutted that it had taken so long.
