I would find out what the OE tyre was with these wheels, as some cars need a certain tyre-wall rigidity to give them the best handling, so certain tyres will be completely unsuited (even though they are the correct size). For example, the Lotus should only really run Goodyear GSDs which are specific to the Esprit and no other car....

As Mike said........best to use the OE tyres.
Bridgestone Potenza's were the OE fitment for all UK 355's.
The spec was developed/refined by Ferrari & Bridgestone engineers over many testing miles.
Rears are 270/40/18
Fronts are 225/40/18.........these are also the right size for Es Cos on 18's.

Anyway, he can just get some ferrari logos painted on afterwards, it works on 3 door cossie replicas so why not on tyres too?
