I thought I recognised that blue pipe - my bad . I'd imagine it is water and antifreeze, but it should say exactly what in the owners manual.

FRS has a similar setup to large tiurbo EsCos - air to air / chargecooled.

EsCos used it's own cooling system, whereas I *think* the FRS is on a seperate system, but still likely to be water/antifreeze mix - not my car though, so hopefully another FRS owner will confirm.

EDIT: I wouldn't personally use just antifreeze (unless it's some special formulation for this specific purpose) as antifreeze on it's own isn't a good idea for several reasons....

Corrosion, plus the fact the most antifreeze needs to be mixed with water to allow lower freezing and higher boiling points.

i thought coolant prevents corrosion......AFAIK the only reason not to use pure antifreeze is high concentrations can damage seals, and it has poor heat latency compared to water.

Depends on the formulation of the antifreeze, but how many cars run 100% antifreeze.....

and it has poor heat latency compared to water.
We're both saying the same thing on that one.

Got some sorted, noticed that the good old ford clip was allowing it to escape, will need to get it changed to a Jub clip sharp!

thats exactly why I think intercoolers are better, no fluid, just air.

See if you had carried on driving and didnt notice you could have done some damage
