Default PUK Codes

Anyone know the procedure to get these ???

Been playing with my new phone and locked it

Vodaphone say you must get the code from your service provider ?

I bought the phone from e2save who quote a number which I've just rung and the number isn't recognised

My old number only came online earlier after the porting process

Any ideas ?

E2Save is run by Carphone Warehouse. They are a Service provider. See if you can call them.

Yeah, just did they ask you to enter your mobile number (which I did) then they told me it wasn't recognised

Maybe it needs a bit of time to upload onto they're system ? but still poor as the phone is now useless and its seems there's no way to unlock it before Monday

And I run a business from it

Shame it ain't an o2 phone, as when I managed to forget the pin code for my work phone I locked it and needed a PUK code. So I did a quick net search and o2 have a PUK code provider on their web site!!! Very handy - specially for phone theives I guess

Can you not avoid entering the Mobile number on their stupid menu? Is there not an option to talk to an advisor? Even if you select the wrong Menu? Or don't enter anything atall? Most automated phone systems will transfer you to an advisor if they don't detect a response.

Have you put a personal answer phone message on your new phone yet? As if you have, you could ask them to ring your number so you could prove it IS in service

OK, put it this way. There are 2 providers involved. Your phone is with one or the other.

If Carphone Warehouse haven't got it yet, then its still with your old provider. I know you are saying that the number has ported, but I would be kicking the arse of either the new or old provider. They will have to talk to each other and sort it.

In actual fact the PUK belongs to the Sim card. Did you migrate (i.e. Same Network with a new provider?) Did E2Save issue a new Sim Card?

If they didn't, your old provider should be able to issue the PUK.

See what you're saying, but took out a new contract with different provider and new sim card and took my existing number across

Looks like there is nothing doing till Monday morning

OK, try this. Speak to Carphone Warehouse and if they don't recognise the Mobile Number, ask them if they can reference the Sim Serial Number.

This number is printed on the Sim Card and often starts 89440000 (they are interested in the bit after the zero's).

There is no way that they haven't got you on the system if they have issued a phone and a sim. NO WAY. Phone back and kick some arse. If that doesn't work, speak to a manager and kick his/her arse. Providing you can call back now and get a person, you can get this sorted, I just know it! Be persistent!

Whatever you do though, don't enter anything other than the correct code in as the PUK, as once you have too many wrong guesses, the Sim will be fooked and they will want to sting you £25 (maybe more) for that.
