Well its good for losing you a whole load of friends who you believe have blocked you.

That in turn will mean when you go out there are less people to buy drinks for.

So this link saves you money

If you select Appear offline in your MSN Account, the status checker will actually say your offline. But say for instance i was online but i blocked you, and i was appearing offline in your list, the status checker would tell you im online so you'd know i blocked you.

Im pretty sure you can believe Stu when he says he hasnt blocked all those people above!

Id take his word over that dodgy site that probably stores your username and password for use at a later date anyway, despite any protestations to the contary

oh and not only does this site now have your passwords for msn and anything else that uses that same account but also given all your contcts details to that site as well..

now the list gets sold onto spammers.. and people who do phishing attacks .. virus writers etc

Ive changed my Password now anyway so they can't get in. Just been doing a few tests on the status checker, it is shite, saying people are offline when there on in my list.

The Delete checker seems oto work but thats it.

Change ya passwords peeps if you have used it, I have.

Your name also appears on my list too Stu , as does Rob (diamonds) and Grant (cossienuts)

Strangely enough the one person who i knpw has blocked me (my ex) doesnt appear on the list

So is it only people that have deleted you that appear on the list?

I delete loads of people as my contact list keeps getting too full, so I delete thier contacts, but DONT block them. That way, if they need to message me in the future, they can as per normal

Likwise, im on hundreds of peoples lists that arent on mine any more, mainly people who i dont really know but have added me to ask a car related question, i know i wont ever want to contact them so delete them, but leave them unblocked so that they can always talk to me again if they need anything else in future.

Wasnt aware of it working like that. Cheers for inadvertantly answering a question of mine that i would never have asked

You will be able to, as you haven't deleted them from your list. They have only deleted you from their list so you don't appear on their list as online/offline. They can't start conversations with you if they have deleted you, you have to make the first move. If they have deleted and blocked you, they won't appear as online to you.

no thats bollocks.

msn had made sure block chekers cant possibly be accurate. it was a bugfix about 2 years ago.

As above, surely changing your password removes any possible problems as regards to details' storage?

Block Checkers DO NOT work

And havent done so for about 2 years when msn introduced some new security features, about version 6, I think.

I sometimes use another more techy sort of "messenger" and that DOES inform when you have been removed from anyone elses lists (instantly or when you next log in) BUT no such prog exists ANYMORE that can accurately do a block check

Save some lovers tiffs

(oh ye so if u have removed me I DO KNOW )
