RS 2000 Van Conversion (engine!)
Thanks for the pics of your vans in my last post.
I want to put an escort RS 2000 engine into my 1994 1.8 diesel van!
My van is SO SLOW
, i have a 30 mile trip to collect my work in the morning down a dual carrage way and i can't get over 50 mph!
Downhill i may get to 65 or 70
but as soon as a slight incline appears, it slows back down.
This is annoying as you can imagen as i should be doing 70 mph at least!
So, can anyone help me by letting me know whats involved and how difficult it is. Will it just slip inplace of my diesel as they are both escort engines ??? Will i need to buy a whole RS 2000 because i will need loads of parts or can i just buy the engine ???
Any help would be fantastic.
I have seen a couple of the rs 2000 van conversions on ebay so it cant be that difficult to do .... can it ???
Cheers peeps !!!
