i have an 1800 si n-plate with an idling prob,when approaching to a standstill at traffic lights etc,the engine will continue to hold revs at 3000 rpm or so then will either drop back to 900 or sometimes stall can any one help??? Also it has a hesitant prob when you blip the throttle whilst travelling at say 30mph it suddenly feels like the engine is being used as a brake,or like part of the engine mount is broken????

 

its the idle control valve, common problem, needs replacing

 

yup idle control valve or mass air flow meter , most prob the icv though
