Mk5 Escort 1.8 Diesel HELP
Ok, my girlfriends sister's car is a 1994 L plate Mk5 escort 1.8 turbo derv.
The problem is - both of the rear light clusters arent lighting up, and nor are the speedo / rev counter lights etc....
What causes this??

Battery is fine 
Checked all fuses, they're fine.... no power appears to be getting TO the fuses for the rear lights (say rear fog light fuse) so i assume we've lost a connection somewhere up the front of the car

Had exactly the same problem on exactly the same car Nige, tried the usual fuse's etc... phoned a local ford specialist, he said he knew what it was without looking at it, its the whole indicator/wiper switch unit , he had one in and said he would swap it to try it before i bought it and he was right, cost Ł50 though

Errrrrm, im not sure whether its urgent or not to be honest!
If its a Ł50+ part, then they would probably wait a few days, but the girl who drives it is always out in the evenings so
I'll have to ask in the morning as everyones buggered off to bed
