Default Car problemo

just had a random situation with my car, havent driven it for about 5 days, got in and went to pull off but it felt like the handbrake was on or something was in teh way... i got out and looked to see if i could see anything, nothing so tried again, same problem, tried to put it in reverse and the back end lifted but still nothing as if the handbrake was still on (no, it wasnt before u ask!)... I didnt want to flaw it but tried again and there was a loud, bang and then i turned the ignition off and ran away.. then tried again and it worked.. but now im worried that ive done something to my car or am i being really blonde??

any ideas?

thank you katie xx

nah,the handbrake just seized on,and you released it! dont worry,it happens when you leave a car standing for a while!

the rear calipers were just seized as the handbrake was on for a long (ish) time try not putting it on so hard if your going to leave the car standing for a while and leave the car in gear

It should be fine now just take it for a run
