Graceland,
You need a software upgrade to your monitor.

This will be available within the next few weeks via Mike Rainbird for a small fee !

Will post up when ready

Graceland,

Sorry, dont forget, the monitor was designed way before the coilpack board.

The new monitor coming soon will work with either configuration

Graceland,

Yes, if done at your own risk as these chips are not the normal eprom type.

if is the square chip in its socket that i am thinking of, that looks a bit like a motorola 68030 processor - around about an inch sqare (just to the right of connector 2) then i have an extraction tool

I am hoping the first new monitors will be available during late February/March.

However, anyone who buys an old version monitor, they will get a free
upgrade if they ALREADY have a coilpack conversion fitted.
(excluding any postage costs)

Which will still be way before your "DIY" 600 bhp + engine appears

Joking aside, at least 5 people on Passionford have seen the new monitor
in the flesh and working.
Designing these products isnt like flogging german car parts as any idiot
could do that with both arms amputated.

Yes it is and costs more due to many extra features and better display.

There are but the ONLY pictures I have with me at the moment as I am
at home. These are of a VERY old prototype version.

The hardware/software/graphics have been redesigned drastically for
the better since these pictures were taken but should give you an idea
of whats to come.

I will be taking a video soon of the new one and posting it up soon as I
get the final front panel layout design is finalised.

Sorry to be vague, but I think even now I am pushing it a bit too
far as I am NOT an official trader at the moment.

Ginge, Thanks for the kind offer.

It has been tested already and Doug Stirling will be getting the first one
fitted to his car within then next 2 weeks or so.

I am sure, he will take pictures and do all the explaining from his
unbiased point of view plus I will slip him a tenner

simon im not asking for a freebie or a discounted price in any way, just i wanna get me car finished and the dash ect is in my front room and i need to decide what im gonna do before it goes back together

wanna get me car finished and then just enjoy it rather than keep spending on extra bits

at the moment im deciding if i should get a normal secs with a lager display and a stack dash or seeing what else is available

dont wanna have loads of gauges all over the shop
