Minesays there is a fault! I rebuilt the top end of the engine, and no sooner had i started it, the TPS and O2 sensor produced a code. Then when i changed the TPS, it would rev fine but every nowand then it would bog down and the automatic gearbox error would show on the trip computer.

Tried taking it down the road, and when its in drive, it has absolutely no movement, and the engine bogs down. In 1st its not too bad once you get it moving.

Could it be fluid? Is the eratic engine behaviour linked to the gearbox telling it not to rev?

Any help much appreciated

I dunno how to read the codes

I know how to read Simtec 56.5 codes from the engine ECU, but i dunno how to check the box.

I got the engine running perfectly now by the way. I mixed up the TPS plug with the cam sensor plug.

I took it for a drive, and in D it has no thrust at all, and barely moves 1st is ok, little sluggish to start, then picks up fine.

I thought it might be low on fluid, but i dunno where the filler is to put some in, or even to check it

In D, does the engine rev but no drive (like a slipping clutch), or just very sluggish to pull away?
If it is the latter, the gearbox is in failsafe mode, which is 3rd gear.
This means the gearbox ECU is seeing a fault, and shutting down.

Yeah, i suspected it was in creep home mode. It does feel very sluggish to pull away in D. Kind of like the engine isn't pulling the car forward as fast as its turning.

I need to know how to fill the oil up, check the oil, or read the codes

Its a T Reg Vauxhall omega 2.0 16V X20XEV automatic by the way

Just spoke to a mechanic, apparently it needs resetting.

Its ok now Just started it, no fault code from the gearbox, put it in drive, and pulled off.

Gave it a kick down and it dropped the right gears and pulled hard

Its taken me 2 months to afford the parts and get them by bus train and taxi to rebuild the fucking thing hopefully its ok now
