ive just been to look at an ERST engine at my local ford breakers,it looks mint,but i didnt get chance to hear it running,the guy said i can have every thing i need to put it into my 3i for 650quid,it looks asthough its had a shite load of money spent on it.

but wot i want to know,is it worth it?how much should i be looking to spend on a ERST engine?

if you get EVERYTHING then yes a good price.

try and get the gearbox for that too lol

 

well i get the whole of the front end of the car,so im guessing the gearbox would be included with it!the only thing is ive not heard it running though,so could end up buying a dud engine couldnt i?

 

I'd say about Ł400, but if that really does include EVERYTHING that's a good price

If you're doing a transplant though, use it to build a ZVH

FRST engine would be better though 'cos it's EFi, then just listen to it chatter
