I don't know alot about this, but someone I was speaking to the other day told me that to connect other TV's to the Sky box for HDTV purposes would cost ££££££££'s.

It's the cost of the cable apparently.

Hopefully my reply may prompt some others!!

As I said, I know very little about it, but I would imagine that it needs to be the right type of cable or the HDTV quality would be lost, then it would be a pointless excercise.

The guy I was speaking to was in Richer Sounds and he was talking about it costing a considerable amount to get from his Living Room to his Bedroom (for the 42" Plasma that he has in there!!!), that he didn't bother!!

a shop nearby is doing it, and it's mega bucks,

but your sky box isn't hdtv anyway ? so normal good quality scart will do it. Then you'll have to redo it with amplifiers and component / hdmi cabling when sky goes HDTV
